CAMP LACKANOGGIN
For the last 25 years, BiggCo has been involved with a very special camp for some very special children. Camp Lackanoggin is a day camp catering exclusively to children with Cranial Deficit Disorder. Cranial Deficit Disorder, otherwise known as CDD is a rare condition affecting only .00006% of the population. Unlike most normal babies, Children with CDD are born without a head.

Camp Lackanoggin is located in scenic Great Neck, NY and boasts over 50 acres of gently rolling hills and a sparkling mile long lake. Lackanoggin is entirely funded by donations from BiggCo’s employees who gladly refuse their Christmas bonuses in order to help children.
Camp Lackanoggin philosophy is simple: Just because you’re missing a head, doesn’t mean you have to miss out on fun! Campers enjoy activities such as basketball, tennis, horseback riding, swimming, fishing, a craft barn with full pottery studio, a 100 seat theater (last year’s production: Hair) and spending evenings at fun filled campfire “clap-a-longs”. **

Camp Lackanoggin's horseback riding program is not only fun but helps kids with CDD develop balance, muscle tone and better hand-neck coordination. Kids love animals and riding a horse is a great way to put a smile on a shy camper's shoulders.
